Verdict
Dennis Caro has suddenly sprung to prominence since being joined in his venture by Peter Scudamore, whose experience seems to have rubbed off. The stable have had a bit of success this season and we can expect a decent run from Dantes Venture, second on his last two starts, most notably at Kempton. He did finish a bit tired when second to the hotpot Lords Best, and will appreciate the slight drop back in trip. Plenty Inn Hand's third at Uttoxeter is nothing special. He was reportedly a bit of a handful in point-to-points and did not look that straightforward on his first run under rules in what was a slowly-run affair. The one to be on is Sh Boom from the all-conquering stable of Jonjo O'Neill. A bumper winner for Kim Bailey at Towcester last term, he started where he had left off by defying a penalty on his first outing for the Jackdaws Castle handler at Wetherby. Although the form is nothing special, he has reportedly schooled well enough to make a winning start over timber and can go on to better things.
