Verdict
Only six go to post for this as No Need For Alarm appears to have scared away most of the opposition. Paul Nicholls' mare, unbeaten in her two starts over fences, likes to force the pace, tactics that have a habit of paying off at Uttoxeter. Despite one mistake at Chepstow last time, she jumped well in the main and will relish the conditions on Friday. She likes going left-handed, and all in all is the best bet of the day, albeit a short-priced one. Jefertiti should come on for his Warwick fifth to Translucid, and although this is his chasing debut, he did handle fences in France. Henrietta Knight's charge may be better value for the forecast than Native Scout who has not been the safest of conveyances of late. The Irish raider is however held in high regard by Donie Hassett and cannot be ruled out of producing a bold show if back to the sort of form that saw him finish sixth in the Gerrard Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He certainly looked the part when making a successful chasing bow at Wexford in October.
