Verdict

Stuart Crawford has his string in good nick and Tony McCoy can guide his VESEY LODGE to success in division one of the bumper, while Superior Knight is interesting along with Unwanted Gift. The last-named won a Dromahane point across the water in May and makes his racecourse debut today. He will probably be good enough to pick up one of these races at some point and is respected. Superior Knight showed little on debut but represents a yard getting a good tune out of its runners and he will surely improve this time. My Viking Bay would ideally want further rain but she is respected as one with frame claims after three previous tries, though preference is for Vesey Lodge. The selection is another Irish point winner, dotting up by 25 lengths at Kinsale on ground described as good. Those conditions are in evidence here and with fitness assured and the champion up we will side with him.
