Verdict

Given a weight for age allowance and after an impressive victory on his chasing debut last time AGGLESTONE ROCK is hard to oppose so we won't while Red jester and Silver Adonis the main dangers. The selection was 20 lengths too good for a Beginners' Chase field last time building on some fair hurdles form. There has been a bit of guess work involved on the part of the assessor when awarding him a mark of 122 but a repeat of that last run should be good enough even with a seven pound penalty on his back. Red Jester is up three pounds despite finding one too good last time out. That rise makes his mark 10lbs heavier than the last time he scored and while that is asking a lot the ground is in his favour. Silver Adonis could actually be well weighted here with a conditional taking seven pounds off of his load making his racing weight lighter than when second on his last start. If Glimmer of Light can complete after failing to do so the last twice then he has to be considered but on these terms Agglestone Rock has to get the verdict.
