In depth

Verdict

Poetic Lady may just need this and it’s also a while since Woodfort last saw a racecourse, though runners from his yard rarely arrive under-cooked. Spin A Yarn hasn’t raced since outpaced on the run-in at Kempton in May but ITS’AFREEBEE (NAP) has been running, and winning, on the Flat this summer so won’t fail through lack of fitness. The latter gets the nod though Discay shrugged off an absence to score at Southwell earlier this month and also enters the reckoning with Kingston another recent winner. Equus Millar is also in good form so can’t be ruled out.
