Verdict
This could develop into a match between I'm So Lucky and De Soto and preference is for the first named. Sure to be well schooled for this, his chasing debut, David Pipe's charge improved steadily throughout the second half of last season, although he commenced this season with a career best effort when chasing home Blue Bajan in the Swinton Hurdle. Up with the pace for most of the journey in that contest, he stuck on doggedly to take the runner-up berth but could not match the winners pace in the closing stages. De Soto had a very quite season last year owing to injuries. The market should indicate what is expected of him but with fitness a worry Isn't That Lucky makes most appeal. It appears as if the remainder are playing for minor honours and Ashwell Boy and Supercilious are contenders for that.
