Verdict

Bear Island Flint was easy to back at Stratford but he shaped with promise on that introduction and with Tony McCoy booked on this occasion, the bookmakers are unlikely to be so dismissive as to his chances. MINELLA HERO was sold for a decent sum having finished a runner-up in a bumper at Gowran Park for John Nallen, and while new connections have had to be patient, Sarah Humphrey seems to have found a suitable opportunity here. Worth A Go was often a front-runner between the flags and with a tonguestrap applied; it would be no surprise to see him being asked to make the running. Jock Des Mottes and James Ridley have formed a decent partnership in point-to-points this year so Liz Juckes' six-year-old shouldn't be discounted on a return to racing under Rules.
