Verdict

A terrific renewal of this Listed chase which has attracted some notable entries. Those near the head of the handicap have had a good record in recent years and top weight Weird Al competed at the highest level last season. Problema Tic won at Perth three weeks ago while McCoy has chosen Lost Glory, winner of three of his last four starts, ahead of Galaxy Rock and dour stayer Storm Survivor and Daryl Jacob rides the returning Prince Tom rather than novice Deireadh Re. PINEAU DE RE has joined Richard Newland since winning the Ulster National at Downpatrick in April but that is hardly a negative and Philip Fenton's former inmate will stay every yard of this trip and handle the good ground. He can make a winning start for new connections. The step up in distance could be a problem for Stratford second Pure Faith but Monkerty Tunkerty should give a good account, though Tony Martin's Victrix Gale looks a bigger threat on her latest second at Perth and Danimix is one to follow over the coming months.
