      Verdict

      Laser Blazer is less exposed than stablemate Uriah Heep but has a penalty to carry for his victory in a novices' handicap at Newton Abbot on Monday. The top weight is decent but could do with dropping another couple of pounds while Surf And Turf has never won off a mark this high over timber, though is proving ultra-consistent. MAHICAN hasn't raced since February but goes well fresh and there may be more improvement to come over hurdles now he tackles quicker going. He gets a tentative vote, though Red Seventy is starting to come down the weights.
