Verdict

Shammy Buskins carries a penalty for his win at Worcester in August and was taking on better opposition when third at Cheltenham last time. He could easily return to winning ways here but generally requires a stiff test of stamina and can give trouble at the start. We'll take him on with CARRICKMINES, who is better known as a chaser but more than capable of a bold showing over the smaller obstacles and well treated at the weights in this. Monbeg Dude could be suited by the step up in distance and still has time on his side, as has Chuckery who makes his debut over timber after a couple of runs in bumpers.
