In depth

Verdict

No recent winning form to consider but a couple of these have been threatening to get their head in front. Beeves went close at Doncaster before finishing only fourth at Catterick though top weight DAWSON CITY is just preferred. The latter was well ahead of Financial Climate when finding only Mosspark too good at Sandown recently and Polly Gundry's charge should be in the firing-line once again. Drumshambo continues to slide down the weights but is not getting any closer and the same can be said of stablemate Shangani. St Johns Point was placed in novice handicaps at the end of last year but has been well beaten in lower grade handicaps than this so far this year.
