Verdict
A tricky race for punters to call but Fen Gypsy, Supreme Salutation and Pure Speculation all look to have decent claims with the vote going to Fen Gypsy. The selection will have conditions to suit and is good heart at present having won well at Southwell last time when defeating Jonny Ebeneezer over 7 furlongs. He is equally at home at this trip and looks capable of scoring. Supreme Salutation was disappointing last time at Windsor behind Salinor but he had been running well before that in fairly moderate company. He might be capable of taking a place here but the suspicion is that he is slightly better over shorter trips. Pure Speculation has plenty of ability and will handle the conditions but she is another who is probably slightly better over shorter. Wood Fern is another that could go well but this colt from the Mick Channon yard has been a little disappointing of late, so we are happy to stick with Fen Gypsy as our idea of the winner.
