Westwood has been running consistently well for Derek Haydn Jones on both the Fibresand and on turf in recent starts and has every chance of resuming winning ways but he may be a shade high in the weights back on turf today despite racing off the same mark as when winning at Southwell last time. Ruth Carr's Imperial Djay ran well when second at Newcastle on soft ground over seven furlongs last time but may not be suited by the drop to six here and a better bet looks to be AVERTOR. Roger Charlton's gelding has yet to win a race but has run some decent races of late, most notably when second in a big field at Newmarket two starts ago and he can go one better off just a 2lb higher mark. Tim Easterby's Grissom and Henry Candy's Seamus Shindig are others to consider but it is Avertor that looks the one to beat.
