Verdict
Cloudy Lane unseated his rider at The Chair on his most recent start in the Grand National but he is better than he was able to show that day and Don McCain's gelding has to be respected on his reappearance on ground that suits but he may struggle to give weight away to OUR VIC, who looks the one to be on with Don't Push It rated the main danger. The selection may not be as good as he once was but trip and ground pose no problems to David Pipe's gelding and he looks more than capable of taking the honours in this decent event with improvement to come from his reappearance run at Cheltenham now that the yard have their runners in good form. The Alner's Miss Mitch will not mind the underfoot conditions but needs to improve on all known form to get involved at the business end of the race. Miko de Beauchene has failed to complete in five of his last six starts and looks best watched with a bigger threat looking to be My Will. The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding was not surprising well held behind Denman in the Hennessy last time but then all runners were well held at Newbury and he would have claims on the pick of his form but does not win very often. Jonjo O'Neill's Don't Push It ran well when chasing home Galant Nuit at Cheltenham last month and has carried on improving in recent starts so has to be respected but preference is for Our Vic, who can resume winning ways.
