In depth

Verdict

Djingle has an added penalty for his Grade 3 victory on heavy going at Roscommon. He was beaten when falling at Carlisle and had little chance in the Grade 1 Racing Post Novices' Chase at Leopardstown. Moonlighter didn't have much luck in his first three starts over fences but put matters right in a Newbury handicap when having a short-head to spare over Precious Cargo with the remainder well beaten. NUBE NEGRA has really taken to fences winning here and at Fakenham before an excellent second in the Grade 1 Henry VIII at Sandown when short-priced favourite Torpillo, who had been impressive here previously, was well beaten. Rouge Vif, an impressive winner at Market Rasen, had wind surgery after a moderate run at Cheltenham and finished a close second in the Grade 2 Wayward Lad at Kempton.
