      Verdict

A potentially-informative maiden in which several look to hold solid claims but Nobby has already been beaten three times over hurdles and failed to land the odds last time, as did Kyntara. Picanha wasn’t beaten far after a lengthy absence at Exeter but MAJOR STING will have come on a bundle for his fourth at Chepstow, where he was doing his best work at the finish – his yard has won this twice in the last three years. Winning pointer Arizona Cardinal is interesting but Our Jet has stronger claims today having finished ahead of Limetree Boy when making a subsequent easy winner pull out all the stops at Aintree. Irish bumper winner Modreeney and Uttoxeter second Crawford are others who catch the eye.
