Verdict

Several of these have scope for further improvement including Southwell maiden winner Shan Blue, who represents last year’s winning stable. Harry Senior certainly wasn’t winning out of turn at Chepstow and he should handle a further step up in trip. Decor Irlandais has been placed to win three times in this country but an official rating of 145 probably flatters Noel Kelly’s charge. Keen On is 2-2 over timber but this is a much stiffer assignment. MOSSY FEN is possibly the form pick on his fourth behind stablemate Redford Road in this grade at Cheltenham. He was hampered in the closing stages that day and dropping back from 3m is probably in his favour. Whatsupwithyou was surprisingly easy to back in an Ascot maiden but won nicely, though it’s difficult to know what to make of the form.
