In depth

Verdict

Beach Club made a winning debut at Thirsk in August and reappeared a month ago with an excellent handicap debut at Lingfield where he couldn't quite manage to hold off Intimidate. Sejalaat, a winner at Goodwood in September, needed the run on his reappearance so a 2lb drop in the weights wil be welcomed by connections. Majestic Moon couldn't handle heavy ground at Ayr in September but an earlier easy victory there puts him right in the frame for this. SHORE STEP was a beaten favourite on his last two juvenile starts but wasn't beaten far and made an impressive reappearance in a Bath maiden where he beat a big field with plenty in hand. From his lowly perch in the handicap he looks the one to beat. Great Demeanor has won twice over this trip on Polytrack and could prove best of the remainder.
