Verdict
Torquemada, Taranaki and Greenwood look the three to concentrate on in this competitive handicap and the confident vote is given to Taranaki. The selection was a fair second behind Bluff last time out. He runs off the same mark here and with the race looking sure to be run to suit he will be hard to beat under his optimum conditions. Torquemada rates the main danger as he was a fair second behind Turks Wood last time out. He is one of the least exposed in the field has plenty of scope for improvement, hails from a shrewd yard and should be closely monitored in the market. Greenwood is another worthy of respect as he is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he ran as if in the handicappers grip when well behind Corky last time and he may need to drop in the weights before he gets his head back in front. Of the remainder Digital has dropped to a handy mark but all his best form is on a softer surface and for the winner we return to Taranaki.
