In depth
Verdict
Theatre Girl, Jaunty and Helens Vision are the three to look at here and preference is for Theatre Girl to make a winning debut. Jaunty surprised connections when finishing a respectable third on his debut at Exeter and stepped up on that when occupying the same place but finishing closer to the winner at Towcester last time. He was staying on at the finish and this slightly longer trip will suit. Helens Vision went off an unconsidered outsider for her debut at Huntingdon a fortnight ago but ran a blinder, just touched off by a head in a good sized field. She will have come on for the run and must go close. Alan King's yard is going well just now, and he has shown recently that he can get his runners ready to win first time out. He is represented by Theatre Girl here, a daughter of King's Theatre out of an Ardross mare. The market should be heeded, but Theatre Girl gets the vote.
