In a very poor apprentice handicap to close things out AL RAYANAH get the very marginal verdict in preference to Hits Only Cash and Distant Pleasure. All three of the pick's career victories have come over this trip with the latest coming at this time last year. He ran well off this mark last time out and although good performances are infrequent they usually come when she's off similar weights. If only Hits Only Cash lived up to his name but it's been a very long time since this one scored. A couple of encouraging efforts in his last two starts put him on the shortlist but he still looks in need of reassessment before getting in front again. Distant Pleasure has held her form relatively well since scoring off eight pounds lower last August and she should be in the mix again while Barodine might get in on the act having scored on his only previous visit to this track. It's not an easy end to the meeting with Al Rayanah looking best of a moderate bunch.
