Verdict
The Leader is a tentative choice here, with Erin Alley, Wot No Cash and Zantana Boy likely to be involved in the shake-up. It is hard to be confident about making a winning call in this class F contest, but The Leader is normally a good jumper and if we forgive his tame effort at Hereford last month, he has as good a chance as any. A look at his form reveals that Pat Chaming's charge is something of a Folkestone specialist, while his latest hard-fought victory came at Towcester, so it can be assumed that he is better going right-handed. As they go the other way round at Warwick that is a slight negative, but at least he knows where the winning line is. Erin Alley won a poor race at Plumpton in 2002 and has not raced much since. He stayed on well at Carlisle last time, showing signs of a return to form, so is another to consider, along with Wot No Cash, although his jumping is a worry. Zantana Boy is progressing and at the age of six has some scope, while Kadouko was a beaten favourite last time and any money for him again would be interesting. It is not a race to get too heavily involved in but we return to The Leader as the selection.
