Verdict
Arms acrossthesea can take this handicap at the expense of Tasneef, Bakiri and Banningham Breeze. Arms acrossthesea won well at Wolverhampton at the backend of last month but probably found his Leicester run coming a little too soon after his exertions at Dunstall Park. He has yet to prove that he truly stays this trip on the flat but he has stayed further than this over the hurdles so we will take that chance. Bakiri was oubattled at Thirsk on his previous start. That form looks good in the context of the race although the occurrence of him finding one too good appears to occur with alarming regularity. Tasneef should produce a decent effort having had a pipeopener a few weeks ago. He tends to do his winning at this time of the year and an inspection of the betting is recommended. Supporters of Banningham Breeze will not be wanting any overnight rain. Theatre Tinka has a positive jockey booking in the hope that he can end a barren spell of two years without a turf win while the enignmatic Celtic Star is back from a spell over hurdles. Arms acrossthesea gets our selection.
