Verdict
This should definitely not take too much winning, with most of those in the lower half safely ruled out straight away. Topweight Boyne Banks was tailed off last time but has only had three career outings and can only improve. Our Tommy gained a surprise victory over the course and distance last March and is nothing special, while Dragon King is better known as a fast ground horse, and although he shaped well enough in testing conditions last time, will find this a bit too much to handle. So, the main rival to Boyne Banks would appear to be Smart Guy, who is paying his first visit to Warwick in 46 career starts. A regular on the Sussex circuit, his two wins have come at Fontwell, most recently at Christmas, and off his current mark, the son of Gildoran can make the most of the weight he receives from the topweight.
