In depth

Verdict

Ballyshan and Ile De Paris have solid claims but Turbulance may be able to get the better of some more experienced rivals. A back to form Fair Question could blitz this field but cases of varying degrees of strength can also be made for Knighton Lad, For All Mankind, Iwillrememberyou, In Dream's and Saint Godegrand. Ballyshan benefited from a change of tactics to win over course and distance last time. The form of the race is rock solid and a 5lb rise fair and he should give another good account of himself. Ile De Paris had the misfortune to bump into a well handicapped stablemate of Ballyshan last time but won a hardfought battle for second and has claims from the same mark this afternoon. Turbulance was well backed to win what was just his second start over hurdles and needed strong handling to do so. There's a possibility that this could come too early in his career but he'll have no problem staying and should handle the ground. Noel Chance has a decent record here whilst the second ran out a 10 length winner on Monday to give the form a boost so a chance is taken with Turbulance.
