    Verdict

    A moderate contest to start, with just two of the field standing out on official figures. Mostaril won a poor race in fair style at Bath, nut he should find Pinot Noir too strong for him on these terms. The latter, who will be reunited with the in form Richard Hughes, has at least 12lbs in hand on official ratings and he should make no mistake.
