Verdict

Pacco has been in much better form recently and stamina is his forte. But a 7lb penalty for his latest win at Folkestone may prove his undoing here. Arnold Layne is thrown in on his old form around here but is beginning to look a light of former days, while Pancake has never really fulfilled his potential. Kathleens Pride doesn't stand much racing but did win over hurdles at Exeter on his reappearance, while the lightly-raced Kitley Hassle ran his best race so far over fences when runner-up over 4m at the same track last time. SHAKING HANDS might be worth another chance, however, as he was probably still just in front when coming to grief at the last at Wincanton on his reappearance and has been given plenty of time to recover.
