Digital has been running some fine races in defeat of late and has to be respected but may once again have to settle for a minor role and a chance is taken with Vindication, who gets the vote over Appalachian Trail. The last mentioned comes here on the back of a win at Newmarket in similar company earlier this month but this is a more competitive event and preference is for Vindication. James Fanshawe could not have his string in better form at present and the four-year-old should be absolutely spot on for this after a couple of pipe openers in better company of late. George Margarson's Atavus has failed to show his old sparkle this term, while Material Witness is likely to find this tougher than the handicap he won at Goodwood last time. Binanti ran better at Sandown last time and is another worthy of a mention, along with Bryan McMahon's Look Here's Carol but Vindication looks the type to progress and gets the nod.
