In depth

Verdict

Undeterred goes from strength to strength and can defy top-weight here, Turibius and Extremely Rare could be the main rivals. David Barron's nine-year-old has landed three on the bounce, the pick of which was a handicap at Hamilton when easily beating some seasoned performers. He still appears to be on a fair mark and will take some stopping this afternoon. Extremely Rare comes here following an excellent victory in a classified race at Bath last time. He has won handicaps off higher marks and looks a major threat to all. Turibius had shown very little before comfortably beating the in form Parkside Pursuit at Brighton. If that wasn't a flash in the pan he should be involved in the finish today. Coranglais is a consistent performer in this type of event and may do best of the others, but Undeterred is hard to ignore in his present mood and gets our vote.
