In depth
Verdict
A modest contest that can fall at the feet of the in-form Flash Cummings; Denada and Florida Dream have the ability to make a fist of it, while Supreme Tadgh is better than he has shown of late and is another to consider. The last named has failed to complete his last two starts though, so obviously comes here with a little to prove. He has winning form over three miles in point to points but has a little to prove on his rules record. Florida Dream drops markedly in class after finishing down the field in a much stronger race at Ascot last month. This is more his grade and it would not come as a surprise to see him bounce back in this company. Denada has been given a chance by the handicapper and holds solid each-way claims today. The Susan Knock-trained 10-year-old is very lightly raced and still has scope to progress beyond his current rating. However, Flash Cummings has youth on his side today and this improving gelding is fancied to rise to the challenge this afternoon.
