Verdict
What Do'in has the best form overall and should make that count against Diamond Mick, Obay and Narciso to name but three. What Do'in looked a real galloper when making a successful start in bumper company at Perth in September 2003 and was driven out to score when switched to hurdles in October. With that form to count on, it was a little disappointing to see him go out tamely when sent off as an odds-on favourite at Carlisle in November. It was probably a combination of soft ground and the stiff three-mile trip that contributed to his undoing that day, and today's conditions appear to be much more in his favour. Providing that it does not rain much more, he should make a bold bid to atone. Diamond Mick stayed on strongly when scoring at the first time of asking for new connections at Kelso, and as that was his first run since April, he should improve a bit more and can take a hand in the finish. Obay made a pleasing debut when second to the odds-on Verasi at Fontwell and the ex-Ed Dunlop stayer will relish today's step up in trip. He should go well along with Narciso who had the misfortune to bump into the highly-rated Wild Cane Ridge over further at Hexham last time. As for Jonny's Kick, he has cost us dearly up to now and is best watched for the time being. For the winner we recommend What Do'in.
