In depth

Verdict

Bordeaux Bill won over a longer trip over these fences last season and is respected, despite returning from a lay-off under top weight. Sparkling River also returns from an absence but Nightfly was only beaten a short-head at Ludlow on his return to action and Absolutely Dylan made all at Sedgefield and looks like making a better chaser than hurdler. WORKBENCH is only a pound higher than when scoring at Sandown last season. The blinkers are back on after a pipe-opener over hurdles and Dan Skelton’s 10-year-old should go close to an eighth chase victory as Copper West is proving disappointing.
