Verdict

Raf Tavel landed a strong handicap at Compiegne in June and won't mind the conditions though he has to concede weight all round. MALPAS was always travelling well and was in a clear lead when falling at the last at Catterick last month so compensation awaits with Exeter fourth Funky Sensation well behind when coming to grief at Wincanton.
