Aviation, Toss The Caber and Finland look the three to concentrate on in a competitive opener and the vote is given to the last named. The selection was a good second on his hurdling debut behind Whirling. Granted that form has since been let down but he ran very green on that occasion and can only improve and he looks a value bet in an open affair. Aviation rates the main danger as he is unbeaten to date over hurdles and won with plenty in hand last time out when beating Jackadandy. However he now has a double penalty and he looks vulnerable for that reason. Toss The Caber is another worthy of res;pect as he also won well on his hurdling debut when beating Moonfleet but this looks more competitive and he will need to improve again to defy his penalty. Of the remainder The Pen hails from a yard that has a good record in these type of events while Zegreus showed a modicum of ability on the flat and is another to note in the market but in a race where the market will be very informative for the winner we return to Finland who looks sure to improve.
