Verdict

The King Of May is back on a winning mark chasing a fourth victory over the larger obstacles. Zanza was placing in much better company around this time last year but appeared to lose his confidence later. Xcitations ended last season with a double but Small Present needs further. KARL PHILIPPE (NAP) failed to complete his hat-trick off this mark at Uttoxeter in March but didn’t help his cause by making several mistakes. He still wasn’t beaten far and there should be more to come this season from Fergal O’Brien’s charge. Soldier Of Destiny won twice last term and made his reappearance in a Grade 2 at Aintree so can’t be ignored.
