In depth

Verdict

Beakstown is thoroughly unexposed and won a Grade 2 hurdle at Warwick last year. He could be a smart recruit to the chasing game and Return Ticket has also been lightly raced. He has also won twice over timber and this longer trip should be in his favour over fences. Vado Forte won three handicaps over timber but, like Mr Antolini, rather lost his way in the spring. All eyes here, however, are likely to be on SAM SPINNER. A high-class staying hurdler, he might find this trip a little sharp on his reappearance but Joe Colliver will have him prominent and he can be tough to pass if on his game.
