Verdict
Slemy is the only course and distance winner and he's produced two good runs since his victory in July. He should be ready for this as should Sovereign Bounty, who was having his first start since July when third at Musselburgh last month where the soft ground won't have suited. Inexes was beaten a long way on his only start on Turf while Devious Spirit has struggled from his new mark after his Ayr victory. Shamaheart has only won at Class 5 level so a chance is taken with PENSAX BOY. Ian Williams' charge, a winner at Wolverhampton in December, needed his comeback at Ascot and, with the ground in his favour, can gain his first success on Turf.
