Verdict
Not the best opener you've ever seen and one that may well produce a match between Inch Perfect and River Styx. The former has been a thoroughly consistent performer on the level for some years for Richard Fahey and won comfortably on his fencing debut at Catterick. However, that was a pretty ordinary contest and he will need to battle to overcome River Styx, who has greater chasing experience. The Ginger McCain-trained gelding will love the fast ground and in receipt of 12lb he should be good enough to land this prize. Atticus Finch and Blakeney Coast possess some ability, but we should not get carried away with their chances, while the Richard Guest-trained Greenkeys should improve for his first outing over the bigger obstacles and cannot be ruled out of the places.
