Verdict
CAPTAIN MOWBRAY has never won but benefited from a strong gallop when runner-up to Little Bruce over the track and trip on Boxing Day. He could have done without a 2lb rise but it will be a surprise if he's not thereabouts and gets the vote in a moderate contest. That winner is trained by Philip Kirby, who has Rocky Two engaged here. He's another maiden over timber and won just once in 25 starts on the Flat and his best runs have come over the minimum trip. Feeltherhythm has been doing better since stepping up to around this trip and looks well enough treated to make her presence felt and though Edward Elgar's two victories over timber have come in sellers he's been competing at a higher level than this recently and ran quite well at Leicester last time. Master Burbridge has won on the all-weather but has been very disappointing when tried over hurdles.
