Gran Maestro ran his best race for a long time at Doncaster but the softer going is a worry and he’s 4lb higher. BAHKIRATE has been running really well in better company and James Corbett’s claim means the four-year-old carries only a feather weight in this. He deserves to get his head in front but Royal Beekeeper has been in fine form and Richard Johnson rides. The three-year-old Something Brewing is also worth a second look and Miss Amelia was a close fourth over course and distance last month.
