In depth
Verdict
Martin Todhunter's Authentic Act was heavily eased late on when successful in a selling handicap at Sedgefield last week and he has every chance under a penalty for that success but this is a better race and preference is for NOBEL, who gets the verdict ahead of Song In My Heart. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding has yet to show any worthwhile form over hurdles but has slipped to an attractive mark as a result and he could be of interest on his reappearance. Jennie Candlish's Decent Lord looked beaten before falling at Uttoxeter recently and of more interest may be Jim Best's Mycenean Prince, who comes into this having chased home Danse Macabre at Fakenham in a selling handicap recently and he has every chance off just a 2lb higher mark today. Looks The Business made a pleasing return to the winter game for Andy Haynes when a close third behind Forest Rhythm at Wincanton earlier this month and he has to be respected but a better bet looks to be Nobel. Brian Storey's gelding ran better than expected when chasing home More Like It over course and distance last month and he can go one better racing off the same mark today.
