Verdict

Richard Johnson's early-season surge to the head of the championship table has slowed somewhat of late but he should add to his tally here courtesy of PROMANCO (NAP) despite the Longsdon mare being asked to concede 7lb and upwards all round. She's improved with each of her three runs over timber and was an emphatic 7l scorer over the decent Ballykan at Ludlow last time over this trip. That rates the best form on offer by some way. Card Game looks next best having shown promise on all four bumper starts for Malcolm Jefferson and now makes her hurdling debut, whilst Strictly Glitz and Miss H Lewiss have shown glimmers of ability and could fight out the minor placing.
