In depth
Verdict
Dapper Man won here on quicker going last year and on good to soft on his latest start at Catterick. He has a penalty but this is a poor contest and Ben Sanderson’s claim negates the extra. Past form would give Red Stripes every chance but he is now 0-18 on Turf and has only been placed three times. PEACHEY CARNEHAN is now 6lb lower than when scoring at Leicester last summer. This is a drop in class for Michael Mullineaux’ gelding and it’s probably worth taking a chance on his fitness. The market may be the best guide to the chances of the others.
