Verdict

DOMTALINE made a big impression at Chepstow and can follow up here. Paul Nicholls' French recruit was backed to the exclusion of anything else when making a winning debut and he can defy his winners' penalty. Also penalised are Kahfre, a Plumpton winner, and Jubail who was forced to work hard at Kempton last time out. Of more interest is Grandouet who comes from France with a big reputation and his trainer has a great record at the track; his 6lb penalty doesn't make life easy. This race was won by an outsider last year, so horses such as Meetings Man and the classy flat recruit Bonfire Knight shouldn't be discounted. Turf Trivia, Two Kisses and Whipperway are all respected.
