    Verdict

Soldier On Parade ended the unbeaten record of Hiconic at Market Rasen, reversing earlier Bangor form. But that has earned him a penalty and he might struggle to give weight to some potentially-useful juvenile hurdlers. Gordon Elliott’s pair are yet to taste defeat but Richard Johnson rides LONGCLAW, who is on a four-timer, so he might be the one to be on as he showed battling qualities last time at Listowel. Duffle Coat can’t be ignored after wins at Punchestown and Gowran but it was disappointing that First Impression couldn’t get by the penalised Historic Heart here on debut, though he still finished well ahead of the one-paced Midnights Legacy. Cabot Cliffs represents last year’s winning connections but probably had little to beat at Uttoxeter and will need to improve significantly on that.
