Verdict
SUNDAE BEST's hurdling debut at Kelso was not without promise and he is selected here ahead of Terenzium. The last-named must be of interest as he already has a course and distance win to his name. The result of that however is that he is penalised accordingly and he has struggled in recent handicaps. Officially rated 114, the move back into Novice company looks interesting but Sundae Best may improve past him. Howard Johnson's horses have been going through a quiet patch very recently but it is not time to overreact just yet and this promising son of Oscar looks sure to improve for this longer trip. Ajimorag needs a market check on his hurdling debut after a decent bumper run at Uttoxeter in June, whilst Big Bertha looks the only other feasible rival. Her run behind Heavenly Chorus at Doncaster a year ago is not bad form but at the age of 11 it is unlikely that she has much improvement to come. This looks a good opportunity for Sundae Best to score.
