RORY AND ME (NAP) doesn’t handle soft going but should be fine on today’s ground. He was second here last season and has placed twice at Newcastle this term so wouldn’t be winning out of turn. Spiritofthenorth has shown ability over hurdles and won for the first time on Tapeta earlier this month so looks a threat but Scudamore has failed to build on a third at Doncaster in January. Quiet Flow finished tailed off at Fontwell in October but his stable’s runners can never be left out of calculations around here.
