Verdict

Scots Gaelic has been running well enough at a similar level and it will be a surprise if he's not in the mix but WALTER DE LA MARE will take some beating on the evidence of his debut effort at Tipperary when runner-up behind Flycorn in a big field. That was in October so fitness has to be taken on trust but he's probably capable of better. Candeeiro has shown some potential though may be suited by further so it's Mctaggart that could provide the main threat. Still a maiden on the Flat despite some decent efforts, he made a really good start over timber behind Pass The Hat at Tramore on New Year's Day and that experience should enable him to get involved. Coral Creek began well over timber but has become disappointing and could do with quicker going.
