In depth

Verdict

Cardamon Hill's hurdling victory came on heavy ground so more rain would aid his cause on his chasing debut. Changing The Rules and Itwasfate occupied the places over this trip at Kilbeggan and the latter, who was making his debut over fences, can reverse the form. Takarengo, who was a long way behind, has since run much better at Clonmel. Five-times hurdles winner Pearl Of The West makes her chasing debut at an advanced age but INCLUSION looks the one to beat. Willie Mullins' mare, a winner between the flags, has had a run over fences but didn't jump with any fluency. She landed a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in October and looks the type to do well in summer jumping.
