In depth

Verdict

Roconga was placed at Killarney and Ballinrobe last month and has place claims again here. The mare Flaviana was second on her chasing bow at Fairyhouse but an early casualty next time at Limerick. Our Dougal has more chasing experience than most having finished second in three of his six races. He was still in front when crashing out at the second-last at Punchestown last month and is a threat to all with a clear round but PEREGRINE RUN should have too much class. A Listed and Grade 2 winner over hurdles, he made a bright start over fences at Roscommon when only finding Townshend too strong and can go one better today. Baby Jake will strip fitter for his third at Ballinrobe and should be winning soon at this level.
